It’s an odd idea for someone like me to keep a blog when we already have a website up which has tried for the last eight years to tie together the nation’s field hockey and lacrosse grass roots.
This site is already a soapbox for full-on opinions and editorials, plus throwaway observations, often tied to an occasion. But as yet this site does not yet have a place for items which do not necessarily merit a full-on column or feature.
Hence, this blog. We’ll update this on a very occasional basis (sometimes gaps will be three hours apart, sometimes three weeks apart). One other thing to keep in mind. This blog will often lack journalistic checks and balances — multiple sourcing, editing for fairness, etc.
Anne Frank once said that “paper is more patient than man.” Hopefully, megabytes and megahertz will be more patient than the reader.
