Feb. 28, 2011 — OK, this is getting ridiculous
Along the railing of the University of Maryland’s Lacrosse & Field Hockey Complex (yeah, I’m calling it that while the laxers are in full effect during the spring) was a group of athletic women wearing matching track suits.
It was the lacrosse team from Virginia Wesleyan College, and they were in the middle of a two-game weekend road trip to play Washington College and Goucher.
They’ve already played three games this season, and February isn’t even over yet.
Look, I’m all for the growth of the sport in the U.S., but games in snow and ice? Not good.
