Last year’s defending state champions have had dominating for thus far this year, but the Eagles are eager to move up from their mid-table finish from 2010.

For the next 11 weeks of the scholastic girls’ lacrosse season, we’re going to select one high school game each day to keep an eye on. Most of these are interstate matches, but we’ll often pick a game like today’s to show the breadth of storylines permeating the scholastic game in the United States.

Some of these may look good before the season gets under way, but we’ll make a substitution to highlight a good match if one comes up on our radar screen. There are a number of fascinating interstate matches this season, especially on weekends. Go ad see a game or two this season and tell people you saw the preview here.
