Serving the scholastic field hockey and lacrosse community since 1998

Dec. 26, 2014 — United States Coach of the Year: Eileen Donahue, Watertown (Mass.)

Eileen Donahue is the first known U.S. scholastic field hockey coach to have had more than one unbeaten streak of 77 games or more. As such, she knew the kind of pressures that were going to be on her players as they set out to win a sixth straight state championship in the fall of 2014, building on an unbeaten streak that had extended to 115.

But nobody could have predicted the degree to which Watertown dominated its opposition during the 2014 season.
