April 12, 2016 — Top 10 for the week of April 10

Welcome to another look at our back-of-the-envelope look at some of the best scholastic teams in the country.

Now, a feature of this list is the fact that the rankings are done based upon records through the previous Saturday, so what is below won’t include yesterday’s match between Alexandria Bishop Ireton (Va.) and Owings Mills McDonogh (Md.). The teams met a year ago with McDonogh winning 14-4 even without starting center Olivia Jenner, who has had a spectacular debut with the Duke Blue Devils.

1. Owings Mills McDonogh (Md.) 9-0

Met Ireton yesterday in a rematch of last year’s game which went McDonogh’s way

2. Mount Sinai (N.Y.) 5-0

Midweek match with Huntington (N.Y.), but have a tough week next week with Miller Place (N.Y.) and Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.)
