May 19, 2016 — A big number from a small school

You may have seen Jordan Shugrue’s name at the top of the girls’ lacrosse national goal-scoring stats for several weeks this season. She is a very quick player who is able to engineer shots from just about any angle.

She plays for a tiny Roman Catholic school halfway between Baltimore, Md. and Washington, D.C., which just happens to be part of the nation’s best girls’ lacrosse conference, the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland.
