Serving the scholastic field hockey and lacrosse community since 1998

BULLETIN: Oct. 11, 2016 — And then, there were three

In a game which ordinarily would be notable for Emmaus (Pa.) sophomore Kayla Kisthardt’s four goals and Dartmouth-bound senior Kira Koehler’s three in a 10-1 win over Nazareth (Pa.) Area, history shone on the player with the remainder of the Hornets’ offensive output.

With a hat trick, Meredith Sholder, the senior forward, became only the third known U.S. scholastic field hockey player to record as many as 200 varsity goals in a career. Sholder had three goals and two assists in the effort this afternoon.

The UNC-bound forward will have a chance Thursday to move into second place in goal-scoring by herself when the Hornets close out the regular season Thursday against Plymouth Wyoming Valley West (Pa.).
