Nov. 25, 2016 — Friday Statwatch for games played through Nov. 20

With the end of the domestic season last weekend, we give you one more Statwatch, the weekly look at the numbers that define field hockey across America.

This week, we once again spotlight the young women who have been putting the ball into the goal cage with amazing regularity. The boomlet of players in the post-Katie Bam Era of field hockey have completely rewritten the record books, transforming a sport in which goals are supposed to be relatively rare.

This boomlet has completely rewritten the record books — not only in terms of career goals, but goals scored by grade level. Below is what we think are the high scorers by class are as of the close of play for this season, understanding that there may be numbers which may not be known to this site:

If something above is wrong, send us an email to us at TopOfTheCircle.com. Give us a name or a bit of documentation (a website will do) so that we can make the adjustment. Statwatch is a feature which we can correct at any time, either from a desktop machine or on the mobile phone.

This is the last of the regular Friday Statwatches until our Final Statwatch is published in December. Until then, thanks for reading.
