The girls’ lacrosse season just past has written itself out like an epic poem from antiquity. There were so many backstories and sidebars for the season, and, like a soap opera, you learned more about the characters involved when a big event, such as an interstate game or the state title, was contested.

After some coffee and a couple of naps, here’s what we have come up with for our Top 50 girls’ lacrosse teams for 2017:
