June 10, 2022 — Friday Statwatch for games played through June 8

This week, we’re going to shift our statistical study to assists. Thus far, only two players (that we know of) have joined the likes of Corinne Wessels, Besser Dyson, and Caitlyn Wurzburger in the 100-assist category. Neither of these players have gotten close to Dyson’s best mark of 149, set in 2013.

Riley Nee, a junior for Hampstead Topsail (N.C.), is committed to Stetson University. She helped Topsail get into the state quarterfinal round in 2022 with 105 assists. Equalling that mark is Ryann Banks, a senior attacker from Peachtree McIntosh (Ga.), who is committed to Syracuse. Banks helped McIntosh to the state A-5A semifinals, losing to the eventual champion Roswell Blessed Trinity (Ga.).

The figures in red below are compiled from available sources across the nation. I encourage you to keep convincing your teams, your schools, leagues, or state governing bodies to adopt the easy-to-use platform, and we encourage you to get your fellow teams to enter their information there as well as whichever is your local news site, so that we can aim for as complete a statistical picture of the country as possible.
