Oct. 17, 2017 — Top 10 for the week of Oct. 15

After a week that saw Moorestown (N.J.) take down North Caldwell West Essex (N.J.) and almost do the same to Voorhees Eastern (N.J.), there are going to be some of tremendous games in the next couple of days. West Essex will take on Summit Oak Knoll (N.J.), who is co-No. 6 along with Voorhees Eastern (N.J.), while No. 1 Mount Joy Donegal (Pa.) takes on No. 5 Millersville Penn Manor (Pa.).

Also today, No. 4 Emmaus (Pa.) will take on a Stroudsburg (Pa.) team which has given the Hornets fits over the years. And tomorrow, San Diego Serra (Calif.) will take on San Diego Scripps Ranch (Calif.). This could be the week the rankings are shaken to their absolute core.

Our RightToRightIsRight.com honorary No. 11 team of the week is The Lawrenceville (N.J.) School. This Mid-Atlantic Prep League team has a diverse schedule, one which has the occasional public schools from the capital region, its MAPL rivals, and has also played preparatory schools in Pennsylvania such as Fort Washington Germantown Academy (Pa.). But last Wednesday, Lawrenceville might have earned its biggest victory in several years by beating a Rumson-Fair Haven (N.J.) team which was only a couple of years removed from winning an NJSIAA state title.
